Melody & Kevin's home in Pasadena

Welcome to their studio apartment! The kitchen door is in view beside the fan.
Studios are sometimes known as a "Bed-Sitter" apartments.
The "living room" is next to the "bedroom". The front door is at the right side of the loveseat.
Moving along the wall beside the front door, the first little door to the right leads to Kevin's office.
This is where he tackles his studies. Everything he needs is right at his fingertips...

Melody & Kevin's place, part 2

This little hallway leads to the closets and bathroom.
This space is amazingly well-organized and holds a lot!
Continuing past the closet and dresser we arrive at the kitchen!
M & K have made the most of the space by bringing in shelves.
Melody makes magic at this stove and sink. MMMMMM!

Went to Portland

For anyone who wonders why Kristin and Jonathan don't update their blogs regularly, well, I went and saw for myself that they NEVER STOP WORKING! They each put in 40+ hours a week and then go all weekend relating and being available to people. Really, they barely have time for themselves, nevermind their blogs. But they are happy in their jobs and they love their life as far as I can see. They certainly are loved by the people who know and work with them.

Kristin is as round as a beach ball now and that little girl inside her is active and lively. It was fun to be around my granddaughter and imagine what she looks like. Can't wait to see her!

I can't think of a title for this

The same day I posted the whimsical pictures below (see last entry), I found that my some of my family members were immersed in blog discussions of death metal music. What a strange and wonderful world this is.

Look What Grandma Got!

Little Raggedy Anne found something curious in the living room. "What is it?" she asked.
Raggedy Andy unfolded it and --it was a rocking chair!!
"It isn't very big," said Little Raggedy Anne. "I wonder who it is for."
"It's for a very little girl to sit in when she visits her Grandma and Granddad", said Raggedy Andy.
"How about if we sit here and wait until she comes?" suggested Raggedy Andy. "OK!" sang Little Raggedy Anne. "We can't wait to meet her!" they both said together with big, big smiles.

I shot this at Sea Ranch in April. (This blog is the antidote to the overly long entries that I put into my other blog ;-).)
