Pony Man

One of the sweet memories of raising our kids is the little songs that they loved at different times. This one is for Jonathan who loved this Gordon Lightfoot song when he was little. It's a fun anime version.
(I'm sorry that I haven't learned how to add a youtube vidoe right into my blog yet.)

Sea Ranch

Reporting in from a visit to Sea Ranch:

It is still unearthly in its beauty. The air is still intoxicating in its sweetness. The colors of the sea and sky still move subtly between steel gray and saphire blue as the sun and clouds change their positions overhead. The wildflowers splash the landscape with patches of neon color. The breakers drum against the cliffs and the white spray towers over the rocks. Snow white and blue gray seagulls wheel around on the wind and the lazy harbor seals sun themselves exactly as they have for the nearly two decades we have been visiting this magical place.

A special feature of this visit was the brilliant full moon that dazzled through our bedroom window every night. One early morning, at 4:00 a.m., I got up to watch the clouds sailing across then moon's face and shifting its reflection on the sea. One moment there was only a silver line on the far horizon, then, suddenly, the silver fanned into a shining path that led all the way to the cliffs. It was breathtaking.

My husband and I spent much of our time in companionable silence, reading, walking and listening to music. We laughed at Abby and cooked good food and just contemplated the wonderful life we share together.

I think "harmony" is the word is the word describes how it all felt. That, and "delicious".
