Oh, Mom, how could you get Kristin's birth date wrong? Kristin's HAPPY BIRTHDAY was September 26! Soooo, Happy Birth Week, Kristin! I hope you are having a wonderful time!!

Happy Birthday, Kristin!

This is Kristin and yesterday was her birthday! She is loving, beautiful, funny, sunny, creative and so, so bright (as in smart)! We LOVE her! Here she is at home with Jonathan in Portland. This is how I think of them, touching and talking things over, making each other laugh. Thank you, Lord, for Kristin and the wonderful partnership she has with Jonathan in their marriage. Happy Birthday, Kristin!! You are a jewel!

Our dear friend Sandy Fairservice from Christchurch NZ stayed with us Tues. and Wed. nights on his way to teach at a church in Minneapolis. He is writing a series of books about the history of the Pacific Navigators.


Friday I hosted a brunch for Jonna Reeder (left), worker in Tajikistan whom we met in Dushanbe last year. Julie Anderson, former worker in Tajikistan, brought Karina Davydova. She and her husband left Moscow 10 years ago and went as workers to Tajikistan. These women are among my heroes.
